When you think of the Friday night before Valentines Day what do you think of?  Oh, probably a nice quiet dinner with your lover, maybe two hours in the movie theater, or maybe nothing at all.  Maybe you are lonely, oh so lonely.

In either circumstance nothing quite says love (or loneliness) quite like music.  The way it makes you move, the way it makes you feel.  There is nothing else on the planet that can reach deep into your soul quite like music can.  It can reach out to you and touch you.  It can confront any feeling you have and understand you.  Music is for lovers.  Music for children.  Music is for everyone.

Friday February 12th, music is all ages!  That’s right!  Bring out your wife, girlfriend, best friend, child or grandma to enjoy some great tunes!

At the Hawthorne Theatre and Lounge in Portland, Oregon the musical love will be in the air.  Presented by Ted Records and Soundlapse, they give you the release of the new Onry Ozzborn film DUO.  It is the 15 minute film that accompanies his newest release, of the same name.  In honor of the release a show is being held by Thirty 3 LLC & Damn That Noise.

This bill is packed!  Two stages (main stage being all ages!), 16 acts overall.  Some of the biggest and brightest stars in the underground and indie scene will be there.  I mean, just take a look at this list:

  • Onry Ozzborn
  • Grayskul
  • Kimya Dawson
  • Rob Sonic
  • Sleep
  • Destro Syndell Pale Soul
  • Goldini Bagwell
  • Eddie Valiant
  • Void Pedal
  • Graves33
  • DJ Zone
  • More on the side stage!!!

Rumor has it there will also be some very special guests in the house.

That is a hell of a group of musicians!  Best part, tickets are only $13 in advance and $15 at door.  For you students out there, bring those ID’s and get $13 door tickets as well.

So for all you suckers within 100 miles of Portland, you need to be at this event!  Connect with a great group of musicians and bring out the younger generation!  All ages means everyone can enjoy a little something.  All the emcees involved would love to connect with you and your little ones, they are the future right?  And if this is a date ( we know you forgot to buy her something anyways) come on out and create an evening you will be telling your children about for years to come.
