Back in May we had the honor or premiering a new track from Izzy Strange featuring Eligh of Living Legends. Now I have the honor of premiering the newest from Izzy Strange, the co-founder of Beasleys Corner Bodega. It’s entitled “Rappers Say the Darnedest Things” and features Hellfyre Club and Mello Music Group member Open Mike Eagle.
Izzy Strange is a very versatile hip hop artist. Easily able to switch up between rap styles, dialects and flows. Easily interchanging fast raps and sing songy hooks. I am super impressed with his growth as an artist and it really is just a matter of WHEN not if, he blows up. The press has started and I fully expect that to increase after this.
Open Mike Eagle is easily one of the most unique voices in the indie hip hop scene, with a very recognizable voice and an almost cult status following. Everything Mike touches is gold and he continuously flexes his skills. Did I mention this fire beat was produced by Netherfriends? Another knock out for them as well.
With an interesting introspective on hip hop, fans and rappers, Izzy has created a new track that is not only worth bumping in the whip, but also deserves several listens in a row just deciphering the messages behind it.
